Corporate and Community Partners Help Bring Christmas to Foreverfamily ChildrenEach year Foreverfamily (formerly AIM) celebrates the season with holiday parties for the children, parents and caregivers leading up to Christmas. These parties were held at various facilities in the Atlanta and Louisville, KY area. This year Foreverfamily served 322 children in 5 separate locations.

Lloyd Named to Outstanding Atlanta Class of 2009-2010Cornelius Lloyd has been selected by Outstanding Atlanta to join the 41st class of honorees for 2009-2010. "I am really excited to be chosen by Outstanding Atlanta," says Lloyd. "I hope that during the one year commitment, I will be able to combine my experiences with youth development and my desire for community service to make a difference in our community."

Walker Named 2009 Dressel Scholarship Winner"Getting this scholarship is a big help" said Eddie Walker, the 2009 recipient of the Ruth and Ed Dressel Scholarship. "This scholarship allowed me to get my books and keep up with class assignments. I can start (the school year) off on the right foot."
Eddie is a sophomore at Ft. Valley State University in Ft. Valley, Georgia. He is majoring in Electrical Engineering and is making plans to attend graduate school.

Kathering Bryant, Vice President of Consumer Advocacy at ChoicePoint: She's opened her heart to inmates' children
The number of women incarcerated in the United States is growing, which means a lot of children are spending this Mother's Day separated from their mothers.
Katherine Bryant, vice president of consumer advocacy at ChoicePoint, spends much of her free time volunteering for an organization that helps children whose parents are incarcerated. Bryant serves on the board of Foreverfamily, which offers a variety of programs, including after-school care and a summer camp. The organization also takes children to visit their parents in prison.

Foreverfamily Board VP McClendon moves up at Wells
Midquel McClendon, Vice President of Foreverfamily’s Board of Directors, was recently named Regional Vice President of Sales, Eastern Florida and Puerto Rico, at Wells Real Estate Funds, Inc.
Mr. McClendon first joined Wells as an Assistant Vice President. He then moved to the role of Regional Sales Consultant, in which he promoted Wells products in 11 eastern states. Now, as Regional Vice President, Mr. McClendon is responsible for raising capital through independent financial representative channels in Eastern Florida and Puerto Rico.
At Foreverfamily, Mr. McClendon’s chief responsibility as Board Vice President is to oversee development of the agency’s Strategic Plan.

“Woman makes peace with past:” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution features Board member Doyle
With poignant introspection, Lucretia Doyle tells her story of overcoming the odds and the role Foreverfamily has played. Board member Doyle is responsible for Program Development at Foreverfamily, with an emphasis on summer camp.

Since the article’s publication, Ms. Doyle has made several strides. On December 15, 2007, she received her M.B.A. from American InterContinental University. For her work at Foreverfamily, Ms. Doyle was selected among the 34 finalists from over 900 applicants for the Avon Hello Tomorrow Fund, and earlier this month, Ms. Doyle had the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. with Herzing College of Atlanta to speak to Congress in support of funding for higher education and the Pell Grant program.
