Who We Are: National Replication

Foreverfamily Louisville

Based on strong community interest and a need for the services, Foreverfamily, collaborating with the faith community, other nonprofits, corrections, community residents, and others, opened Foreverfamily Louisville in Kentucky on April 1, 2008.

The office is sharing space with Making Connections Louisville (an initiative of the Annie E, Casey Foundation) at 334 E. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202. James Leavell is the Program Manager and he holds orientations 3 times a year for men at Dismas Portland, a transitional center located in the California neighborhood. Once fathers graduate from the class, Ff Louisville holds a Family Celebration where fathers, their children and family members enjoy a 5 hour visit filled with food, games and activities.

April marks Foreverfamily Louisville’s one year anniversary. The organization has served 50 fathers and 100 children during over the course of the year. To learn more about our first year’s successes, click here to view the press release.
